As the summer heats up, travelers start packing! Which means it’s time to look for that hidden passport that’s been stashed away! Moreover, the headache of arranging various travel documents, bookings, visas, HR letters, and of course, travel insurance begins.

Travel insurance requirements vary depending on the country you are visiting, and there is a variety of reasons, ranging from diplomatic and political agreements or even because of endemic diseases or in response to a pandemic such as COVID-19.

It’s safe to say we’ve entered a new era for travel. When planning your trip abroad, you have to be extra careful and make sure you are aware of all the travel insurance requirements of your destination country.

1-    Argentina 🇦🇷

Argentina is one of the top destinations for tourists. With the sky-scraping peaks of the Andes, huge waterfalls, and the unique bustle of Buenos Aires, there’s so much to enjoy there!

Hold on, before you book your tickets; there’s a small catch, travelers are required to provide evidence of travel medical insurance upon entering Argentina. The insurance policy should cover hospitalization, quarantine, and transportation coverage in case of COVID-19. This applies to both vaccinated and non-vaccinated travelers.

2-    Bahamas 🇧🇸

No doubt, the virgin beaches of the Bahamas are worth the long trip!

More recently, after the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020, travel health insurance became a requirement to enter the island. Tourists are required to apply for a Travel Health Visa before entry.

3-    Oman 🇴🇲

Oman is one of the most popular destinations for residents of the UAE, its proximity and hassle-free access make it a worthwhile destination for residents to escape over the weekend and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the Sultanate.

Recently, however, it has become mandatory for visitors to show proof of travel medical insurance upon entering Oman.

4-    Qatar 🇶🇦
